An SEN school in partnership with Veritas Education is seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Teacher for a long-term cover/permanent position.

Start date: September 2026

Salary: £165 - £255 per day (depending on PayScale/Experience)

Qualifications

Knowledge of SEN education and teaching is essential, along with knowledge of a varied curriculum for a range of age groups and needs.

Responsibilities

You will be working with children across a range of classes who have varying special needs, including Autism, complex physical and medical needs, and challenging behaviours. You should be adaptable and able to plan, prepare and deliver engaging and creative lessons for pupils. Classes consist of small groups of 6–8 children, and your timetable will be split around varying groups of pupils. You will teach pupils key life skills in a highly inspiring environment, focusing their attention on the task at hand while allowing them to use their imagination as much as possible. Pupils are supported by experienced LSAs (Learning Support Assistants) who work alongside you to ensure all children develop well. The senior leadership team provides teaching resources to assist with creative and visual learning.
