Veritas Education are proud to be expanding our support across the Teesside area and are now recruiting experienced Learning Support Assistants to work within mainstream secondary schools. We are keen to speak with LSAs who have experience supporting students with their learning, particularly those confident providing 1:1 support. We would also welcome applications from candidates with experience of personal care, where required, as this is beneficial for some of our placements.

The role may involve:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small‑group basis
  • Helping students to access the curriculum and remain engaged in lessons
  • Providing structured, calm support to meet individual learning needs
  • Assisting with personal care, where appropriate (experience desirable)
  • Working closely with teaching staff and SEN teams

Start dates and booking durations vary depending on school needs.

We’re ideally looking for:

  • Experience supporting pupils in mainstream secondary settings
  • Confidence working 1:1 with students who require additional support
  • A DBS on the Update Service (preferred but we can facilitate)
  • Reliability, adaptability and a professional approach
