The school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to support pupils aged 4–16 with a range of additional learning needs in a specialist setting.
This full‑time role involves delivering a broad, differentiated curriculum across core and foundation subjects, ensuring every pupil receives the opportunity to achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core and foundation subjects
- Teach pupils across both primary and secondary age ranges with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress and attainment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development through positive relationship‑building and effective behaviour strategies
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (essential)
- Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Strong understanding of a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech, language and communication difficulties
- Ability to deliver a broad curriculum and adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs
- Excellent classroom management with a calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
