Our client, a specialist provision, is seeking a dedicated and resilient Science Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time position working with male students aged 7β19 who hold EHCPs and present with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD/PDA, and associated SEMH/complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a practitioner who is passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of young people requiring tailored, therapeutic approaches to learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS1βKS4
- Support students with complex learning profiles and behavioural needs
- Create a structured, safe and nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and wider professionals
- Monitor and track student progress in line with EHCP outcomes
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching Science across relevant key stages
- Demonstrable success working with autism and/or SEMH cohorts
- Strong behaviour management skills and a flexible, patient approach
- Experience within specialist or alternative provision settings
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice and therapeutic approaches
