Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Kirklees to recruit a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator specialising in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a combination of Humanities subjects to join a supportive and forward-thinking department.

The Role

As a Humanities Teacher, you will

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and support student attainment, providing targeted interventions where necessary.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic success.
  • The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Humanities subjects within a UK secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to raising standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and helping young people achieve their full potential.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
