How to prepare for a job interview at Veritas-Education-Recruitmen
✨Know Your SEN Stuff
Make sure you brush up on your knowledge of special educational needs (SEN). Familiarise yourself with different types of SEN, like ASD and ADHD, and think about how you can support a pupil with these needs. This will show the interviewers that you're not just passionate but also well-informed.
✨Showcase Your Experience
If you've worked with children before, especially in an SEN setting, be ready to share specific examples. Talk about what strategies you used to help them succeed and how you adapted your approach to meet their individual needs. Real-life stories can make a big impact!
✨Emphasise Teamwork
Since you'll be working closely with the class teacher and SEN team, highlight your ability to collaborate effectively. Share examples of how you've worked as part of a team in the past, and discuss how you can contribute to creating a nurturing environment for the pupil.
✨Prepare Questions
Interviews are a two-way street, so come prepared with questions for them! Ask about the school's approach to inclusion, how they support their staff, or what a typical day looks like for a Teaching Assistant. This shows your genuine interest in the role and helps you assess if it's the right fit for you.
