The Role
Veritas are seeking an experienced, qualified SENDCo to support a primary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a part‑time role (3–4 days per week) with an immediate start, offering a long‑term opportunity through to January 2027. The successful candidate will take strategic and operational responsibility for SEND provision across the school, working closely with senior leaders, staff, families, and external agencies to ensure high‑quality outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice
- Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, and personalised support plans
- Support and advise staff on inclusive practice and intervention strategies
- Liaise with parents/carers and external professionals
- Contribute to whole‑school improvement and safeguarding practices
Person Specification
- Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo/NPQ SENCO) and QTS.
- Proven experience as a SENDCo within a primary setting
