Veritas Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic, confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools throughout the Dewsbury area.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, youth workers, sports coaches, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience within local schools.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting schools by supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided and maintaining a positive learning environment.
You will have the opportunity to work across a range of well-established secondary schools in Dewsbury, gaining experience in different settings and subject areas.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensure students remain focused and complete the work set.
- Provide support and guidance to students where required.
- Report back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and student engagement.
- Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
