Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑resourced secondary school in Burnley to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology for a September 2026 start. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward‑thinking Technology department where creativity, practical learning, and high standards are valued. The successful candidate will deliver Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities for KS5 for the right person. Specialisms may include Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, or Food & Nutrition; however, teachers with a strong general DT background are encouraged to apply.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
  • Be confident delivering engaging, practical, and structured lessons
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, progress, and achievement
  • Demonstrate effective workshop and classroom management
