We are looking for a hands‑on, analytical, and proactive Logistics Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our team in Newcastle. In this role, you will take ownership of our warehouse operations, stock control, and asset management, ensuring operational excellence, strong KPI performance, and seamless cross‑functional collaboration. You will be expected to work autonomously, create impact quickly, and help drive continuous improvement across our logistics landscape.

As Logistics Manager, you will lead three core teams – Warehouse Operations, Stock Control, and Asset Management – ensuring daily activities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock accuracy, monitoring key KPIs, supporting budget compliance, and ensuring strong alignment with sustainability and ESG standards. A central part of the role is driving coordination across functions, working closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Finance, as well as our group logistics & supply chain colleagues in Madrid and Malmö to secure accurate planning, timely deliveries, strong inventory availability, and support the launch of new product initiatives. You will also oversee reverse logistics, scrapping processes, packaging reporting, and asset lifecycle management. This is a broad and impactful position where you will have a great opportunity to set your own agenda, identify improvements, and shape how we work.

What you’ll be up to:

  • Analyse and monitor key KPIs (Days of Stock, OTIF, Cost of Materials, Stock Deviations, Inventory Value, Operational Performance)
  • Coordinate monthly budget tracking, highlight deviations, and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare and present monthly operational and financial reports
  • Manage asset tracking, maintenance, and lifecycle processes
  • Oversee reverse logistics and monthly scrapping activities with correct documentation
  • Ensure packaging usage and reporting follow ESG and sustainability guidelines

To thrive in this position, we believe you are a structured, hands‑on problem solver, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with precision. You enjoy leading teams, driving coordination across departments, and translating data into clear decisions. You’re a strong communicator who can navigate a dynamic environment and influence stakeholders at different levels. We also believe you enjoy working with logistics excellence, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain & Operations, International Commerce, or similar
  • 10+ years’ experience within supply chain, inventory management, or warehouse operations, including 2–3 years in leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of logistics, stock control, and operational processes
  • Experience working with KPIs and data‑driven decision‑making
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and similar analysis tools
  • Experience with ESG or sustainability‑related reporting (packaging, waste management)
  • ERP knowledge (Oracle is a plus)
  • Well‑organized, methodical, and able to manage several priorities simultaneously
