Shape the public affairs agenda of a market-leading business

Verisure is looking for an experienced and ambitious Public Affairs Manager / Senior Public Affairs Manager to join our UK business.

This is a newly created, high impact role with significant visibility across the organisation and externally. Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, you will have the opportunity to shape and lead Verisure’s public affairs and regulatory agenda at a time of significant growth and change.

You’ll work at the heart of one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies, helping shape how our brand engages with government, regulators, policymakers, industry bodies, law enforcement and other key stakeholders.

This is a role for someone who can think strategically, influence at senior levels and, importantly, roll up their sleeves and make things happen.

Why Verisure?:

Verisure is a global leader in professionally monitored security services, protecting more than 6.3 million customers across 18 countries.

Every day, our teams use leading technology and 24/7 professional monitoring to deter, detect, verify and intervene, helping protect our residential and small business customers from burglary, intrusion, fire, physical attack and other threats.

Our mission is simple: to protect what matters most.

We are operating in a market with significant potential for further growth, supported by a strong recurring revenue model, long-term customer relationships and a high-performing culture built around purpose.

We’re growing fast, we’re doing it right, and we’re still just getting started.

The opportunity:

As Public Affairs Manager / Senior Public Affairs Manager, you will take ownership of Verisure’s UK public affairs and regulatory strategy, ensuring it is closely aligned with our business priorities, risk profile and long-term growth ambitions.

You will build on strong foundations while developing a compelling public affairs narrative and establishing Verisure as a credible and influential voice across the security, technology and connected services sectors.

The role will span a broad regulatory and stakeholder landscape, including:

  • The private security sector and its regulatory environment
  • Relationships with police, law enforcement and public security stakeholders
  • Consumer regulation and broader regulatory developments affecting our business
  • Political and government engagement
  • Industry associations, policy groups and other external stakeholders

A key part of the role will be understanding the stakeholder landscape, identifying opportunities and risks, developing Verisure’s external narrative and then driving consistent execution against it.

You will also identify opportunities for senior leaders, including the Managing Director and Operations Director, to engage externally and, where appropriate, represent Verisure directly with key stakeholders.

This is a rare opportunity to build and shape an important public affairs function within a high-growth, consumer-focused business, with the autonomy and visibility to make a genuine difference.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and execute Verisure’s UK Public Affairs and regulatory strategy, aligned with business objectives and Group priorities.
  • Develop and articulate a compelling Verisure public affairs and regulatory narrative, positioning the company as a credible and influential voice within the sector.
  • Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with UK regulators, policymakers, government authorities, police and law enforcement bodies, industry associations and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor political, regulatory and legislative developments, translating complex issues into clear, commercially relevant advice for senior leadership and Group stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging regulatory risks and opportunities and proactively develop strategies to mitigate risk and support sustainable business growth.
  • Represent Verisure externally across relevant forums, trade associations, industry events and advocacy platforms.
  • Support the development of policy positions, regulatory messaging and advocacy strategies across the security, technology and connected services sectors.
  • Work closely with the Group Regulatory & Public Affairs team to ensure a coordinated approach to UK and wider legislative and regulatory priorities.
  • Coordinate with Group and regional teams to ensure effective execution of Public Affairs and Regulatory initiatives across the UK.
  • Support senior leaders with high-profile stakeholder engagement and strategic external interactions.
  • Develop clear plans, objectives and KPIs for public affairs activity and ensure effective delivery against them.
  • Provide insight and guidance to internal stakeholders, helping the wider business understand and respond to changes in the external environment.

What we're looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced public affairs professional who brings credibility, maturity and impact from day one, combined with the curiosity, energy and ambition to build something for the future.

You’ll be a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable getting into the detail and delivering the plan. You’ll know how to influence senior stakeholders, build trusted external relationships and turn complex political and regulatory issues into clear business decisions.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in public affairs, government relations, regulatory affairs or a closely related discipline, ideally gained within a large, fast-paced B2C environment.
  • A proven track record of developing and delivering public affairs and regulatory strategies that achieve measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of the UK political, regulatory and stakeholder landscape, with an established network across relevant government, regulatory and industry bodies.
  • Experience engaging with UK regulators and policymakers and influencing policy or regulatory agendas.
  • Strong spokesperson and external representation skills, with the ability to develop compelling narratives and communicate with credibility and confidence.
  • The ability to operate as a senior stakeholder influencer, advising, challenging and partnering with senior leaders.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to understand complex business priorities and translate them into effective public affairs strategies.
  • Excellent project leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to take initiatives from concept through to execution.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional or multi-market projects with clarity, structure and pace.
  • A highly hands-on and delivery-focused approach, someone who enjoys turning strategy into action rather than simply setting the direction.
  • Experience within a regulated and/or publicly listed business, particularly in technology, telecommunications, consumer services or a related sector, would be advantageous.
  • Experience of legislative or policy development within Parliament, government or a relevant regulatory authority would also be beneficial.

You’ll have:

  • Direct exposure to senior leadership, including the UK Managing Director.
  • The opportunity to build and shape Verisure’s UK public affairs function.
  • Significant influence over the company’s external positioning and regulatory agenda.
  • The opportunity to work across a broad and evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Exposure to Group and international stakeholders.
  • The chance to represent a market-leading brand with millions of customers.
  • A role where your ideas, relationships and execution can have a tangible impact on the business.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging:

At Verisure, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, recognising that diversity of thought and background makes our teams stronger and more innovative.

We reject all forms of discrimination and bias and believe everyone should have access to opportunity, regardless of gender, age, disability, race, sexual orientation or any other status.

If you’re ready to shape the public affairs agenda of a growing, market-leading business, we’d love to hear from you.
