Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to join our growing product team. This key delivery-focused role is responsible for translating business requirements into clear, actionable epics and user stories that engineering teams can successfully deliver.
Working closely with Product Managers, stakeholders, customers, and cross‑functional teams, you will help shape product direction, manage delivery priorities, and ensure successful execution of the product vision. You will act as a subject matter expert for your product area while championing Agile best practices across multiple squads.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders to identify, define, and prioritise product initiatives.
- Gather requirements from customers and stakeholders and translate them into detailed user stories and epics.
- Own and manage product backlogs across multiple products and squads.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support prioritisation activities.
- Work closely with Scrum Masters to understand team capacity, velocity, and release planning.
- Define acceptance criteria, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.
- Create acceptance tests and support quality assurance activities.
- Monitor product development progress throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Facilitate backlog refinement and ensure delivery aligns with business priorities.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for assigned products.
- Support release planning and work closely with engineering teams on Agile and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with business, technical, and creative teams to ensure successful product launches, communications, and training.
- Facilitate customer workshops and requirements‑gathering sessions.
- Maintain and manage Jira and Confluence documentation.
- Drive alignment across teams through effective communication and structured thinking.
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or Senior Product Owner within an Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Proven experience in business analysis and process improvement.
- Experience creating clear and concise requirements documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience facilitating workshops and gathering requirements from customers and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage product backlogs effectively.
- Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
- Experience monitoring products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to remove delivery blockers.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.

- Experience working with third‑party development partners.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry.
- Project management experience supporting non‑Agile initiatives.
- Experience conducting market research and competitor analysis.
- Experience supporting pre‑sales activities and technical demonstrations.
