Join our dedicated and expanding team of Human Resources professionals within Employee Relations. This senior role is designed for an experienced ER Specialist with proven expertise in overseeing complex EMEA matters. The successful candidate will lead on a broad spectrum of employee relations work including flexible working requests, absence management, performance management, disciplinary and conduct issues, investigations, grievances, as well as redundancy and restructuring processes. You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and senior leaders, providing guidance on best practice and ensuring compliance with UK employment law. Experience with ServiceNow is highly desirable. The role can be based in either London or Norwich, but we welcome applications from candidates who wish to work fully remotely.
Responsibilities
- Analyse ER casework trends to develop strategic, proactive recommendations for HR and the business, addressing and mitigating systemic issues.
- Independently manage complex casework, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary matters, ensuring timely and robust resolution.
- Lead on the analysis and revision of people programmes, policies, and practices to sustain a positive and productive work environment for employees across the UK.
- Stay abreast of UK employment legislation, including developments relating to flexible working, redundancy, and restructuring, ensuring the company, management, and employees remain compliant.
- Identify deficiencies and training needs for managers and employees, delivering or recommending targeted employee relations training.
- Recommend and implement initiatives to enhance the employee experience and foster a culture of engagement and inclusivity.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all casework and employee relations activities.
- Produce thorough investigative reports, formal letters, and related documentation as required.
- Regularly update and review policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and organisational needs.
- Mentor and support junior members of the Employee Relations team, providing guidance and sharing best practice.
- Partner with internal teams such as HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Global People Services (GPS), and Legal to ensure cohesive handling of ER matters.
- Demonstrate experience with ACAS processes and Employment Tribunals, supporting the organisation in dispute resolution and legal compliance.
- Mediating in workplace disputes and facilitating conflict resolution to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable adjustments.
- Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights from employee relations casework.
Qualifications
- CIPD qualified (or working towards) or equivalent UK HR qualification.
- Extensive experience in employee relations within the UK and a solid understanding of UK employment law.
- Demonstrable experience in a global organisation is advantageous.
- Experience working with C-suite level stakeholders is essential.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar HR case management systems is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to remote and hybrid environments.
