At Ignite Systems, we build technology that helps insurers and brokers operate more effectively, streamline processes, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. As our customer base continues to grow, we're looking for a Product Analyst to join our Retainer team and act as the bridge between our clients, product capabilities, and development teams, helping customers maximise the value of the Ignite platform while shaping its future direction. This is a highly visible, client-facing role that combines elements of product consulting, business analysis, customer success, and product ownership. You'll work closely with customers to understand their priorities, translate requirements into actionable outcomes, and help shape the ongoing evolution of our platform. If you enjoy solving business problems, managing stakeholder expectations, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver valuable solutions, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients to understand business requirements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Act as the strategic owner for a portfolio of clients, balancing long-term product evolution with immediate delivery priorities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for delivery discussions, change requests, and product enhancements.
  • Challenge client requirements and recommend alternative solutions where appropriate.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help customers understand product capabilities and advise on best-practice use of the platform.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate discussions around scope, priorities, timelines, and solution approaches.
  • Make informed prioritisation decisions by balancing customer needs, commercial value, product strategy, and technical complexity.
  • Own and maintain client backlogs, balancing competing priorities and business needs.
  • Manage, prioritise and refine development requests, balancing business value, customer priorities and technical constraints within Agile sprint cycles.
  • Facilitate sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions with development teams.
  • Work with Product, Engineering and other Product Analysts to identify opportunities that benefit multiple customers rather than bespoke solutions.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, delivery performance, and roadmap progress, ensuring delivered functionality achieves measurable business value.

Qualifications

We're seeking a delivery-focused professional who combines strong business analysis skills with excellent client-facing communication and commercial awareness. You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience in a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Consultant, Customer Success, Solutions Consultant, or similar role.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to work directly with customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience gathering requirements, defining solutions, and translating business needs into actionable deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to challenge ideas constructively and build consensus across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working within Agile environments and sprint-based delivery models.
  • The ability to operate effectively under pressure while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Desirable Experience

While not essential, experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Working within a software company, SaaS environment, or technology-led business.
  • Product ownership, product management, or backlog management responsibilities.
  • Insurance, insurtech, broking, underwriting, or related financial services experience.
  • Writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
  • Azure DevOps, Jira, Linear, or similar delivery and workflow management tools.
  • User acceptance testing (UAT), product testing, or quality assurance activities.
  • Data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
