This apprenticeship is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while working towards a recognised CIPD qualification. Over the course of our 36‑month programme, you’ll learn directly from experienced HR professionals and develop the skills you need to grow in the HR field. As part of the HR team at Verisk Specialty Business Solutions (VSBS), you’ll work closely with HR Business Partners and other HR teams. You’ll support a wide range of HR activities across the entire employee lifecycle — from onboarding, through day‑to‑day operations, to data and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Providing day‑to‑day administrative support to the HR team
- Assisting with queries from employees and managers and directing them to the right information, people, or policies
- Preparing various types of HR documentation
- Supporting the creation of regular HR reports
- Helping analyse HR data to support decision‑making
- Keeping HR systems up‑to‑date and ensuring data accuracy
- Getting involved in HR initiatives across Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and Compensation
- Taking on additional tasks that support your learning and the team’s work
Qualifications
- You must be 18 or older when starting the apprenticeship
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 7 or above
- No previous HR or business qualifications are required — we’ll provide full training and support
- A GCSE in Business Studies or similar is a plus
- A genuine interest in building a career in HR and a willingness to learn
- Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and organisational skills, respect for confidentiality, and high attention to detail
