We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have between 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance industry and experience of designing, specifying and validating agentic workflows, prompts and decision logic for AI-driven automation and Gen AI use cases. Exposure to the London Market is preferred but not mandatory.

They will write and communicate specifications based on business requirements, clarifying and giving further examples where necessary. Work on multiple requests which would need detailed evaluating (MoSCoW) followed by preparing and presenting recommendations on how to productise, working collaboratively with UI/UX, developers, QA and key stakeholders. They will also act as a mentor to the junior members of the BA team, offering support and sharing expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding of the Platform functionality, with specialist knowledge on certain areas of the product.
  • Design and specify agentic workflows, prompts, and decision logic for AI-driven automation and Gen AI use cases.
  • Demonstrate strong data literacy, including the ability to analyse, interpret, and leverage data to inform requirements and validate AI outputs.
  • Apply prompt engineering techniques to optimise Gen AI model performance and ensure business relevance.
  • Validate and iterate on AI solutions, using data-driven feedback to continuously improve outcomes.
  • Conduct the analysis of business processes, functions and procedures to determine the most effective business systems technology that meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Provide detailed knowledge, rationale of user cases, during design and requirements gathering meetings with the ability to lead both internal and client attended workshops, with a low level of support from more experienced analysts.
  • Work with colleagues to translate business requirements into functional requirements, focusing on scalable and reusable use cases that support users of the platform.
  • Provide support and review to the junior analysts within their project team to deliver on requirements.
  • Provide and delivering on estimates given to Lead Analyst / Project Managers.
  • Liaise with their Lead Analyst/PM within their project team / pod around escalations and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
  • Produce user stories and requirements documentation, with clear understanding of business requirements and functional requirements.
  • Work closely with development and product teams to ensure adequate implementation of requirements.
  • Respond to questions and eliminate vagaries during the development phase.
  • Reviewing with the assistance of more experienced analysts the coverage of tests executed by the QA team. Provide guidance regarding criticality of any defects raised associated with requirements during build and test process.
  • Assisting during the execution of user acceptance testing and supporting client through to BAU.
  • Taking ownership of requirements, ensuring the system does what was intended and iterating and improving as and when required.
  • Execute training for clients and other team members in complex areas.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry.
  • Insurance experience is a must with London Market strongly desirable.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly with data analysis, JSON and working with APIs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience effectively gathering, managing and documenting requirements, and development of use cases.
  • Understanding of the Project Life Cycle and Agile development and testing principles.
  • Self-motivated and happy to work independently, with the ability to organise time/work effectively.
  • Experience in providing reviews, feedback and mentoring analysts is desired but not essential.
