Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Whitespace Automation Consultant, you’ll work directly with clients to understand their business, implementing configurable, rules-driven automation across the placement process to reduce manual effort, increase speed and add clarity and consistency.

You’ll

  • Build trusted client relationships, acting as a strategic advisor and providing ongoing support for their automations.
  • Analyse automation use cases to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, improved workflows and greater adoption.
  • Gather, review and translate business requirements from clients into logical, implementable configuration in line with best practice
  • Advise clients and design configuration solutions based on understanding of the WA solution, insurance processes and the Whitespace Platform and its data
  • Scope and support configuration of insurance product rules, validation logic and workflows within the Whitespace Automation solution.
  • Validate outputs against realistic business scenarios and to ensure accuracy.
  • Support client testing, defect management and release readiness.
  • Facilitate client workshops, requirements review sessions and stakeholder discussions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Delivery, and Engineering teams to deliver successful implementations.
  • Support pre-sales activities, product demonstrations and customer presentations.
  • Deliver training sessions and promote best practice across both clients and internal teams.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of our consulting capability.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

You’ll combine insurance expertise with strong consulting skills and a passion for helping organisations embrace technology and automation.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in

  • Solution Consulting, Business Analysis, Implementation Consulting or similar customer-facing roles.
  • The insurance industry, with London Market experience highly desirable.
  • Scoping insurance product rules, validation logic and workflow processes.
  • Insurance technology platforms, digital transformation or process improvement initiatives.
  • Insurance products, business rules, data and workflow automation.
  • Working closely with broking and underwriting teams to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
  • Building trusted stakeholder relationships and influencing decision-makers at all levels.
  • Producing high-quality documentation ensuring traceability and transparency in client implementations.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience with workflow automation platforms, rules engines or low-code technologies would be a distinct advantage.
