We are looking for an experienced Construction Cost Analyst to join our UK Property Pricing Team in London. This role combines construction expertise, data analysis, research, and customer support to help deliver industry-leading construction cost data and pricing services to the insurance market.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyse UK construction costs and market trends.
- Maintain and develop construction pricing schedules and databases.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reports and economic analysis.
- Support pricing requests and customer enquiries.
- Assist with claim reviews, audits, and estimating exercises.
- Deliver construction cost insights and recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of research and data processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the UK construction or insurance industry.
- Background as a Quantity Surveyor, Buyer, Construction Manager, Engineer, Building Surveyor, Loss Adjuster, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction practices and costs.
- Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
- Data analysis experience.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Desirable: Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Desirable: Insurance surveying or loss adjusting experience.
