As a Data Engineer, you will join our world‑class engineering team in building the Verisian Platform. Your work will expose clinical trial insights to data managers, statistical programmers, statisticians, medical writers, and regulatory authorities. You will be expected to lead the analysis, design, building and testing of components of the engine and data validation rules. You will design, prioritise, build and test new functionality, troubleshoot customer issues, find root causes, and deploy required fixes to ensure maximum user impact and performance.
Responsibilities
- Support the Planner, Builder, Explorer, Validator, Submitter, and related modules that address planning, exploration/onboarding, building, validation, submission, and review of clinical trials and results.
- Create data validation rules (custom DSL) and develop the data analysis engine (Python) that automatically detects inconsistencies and analysis errors while enforcing regulatory data standards.
- Build pipelines that analyze clinical trial documentation, code, logs, data, and results to construct a knowledge graph through code traceability, and use the resulting dataset for AI‑driven insights.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Python and at least one other programming language.
- Extensive experience with SQL and data engineering principles.
- Extensive passion for data.
- Experience with complex root‑cause analyses to identify and resolve bugs.
- Experience identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues.
