As a Pharmacy Informaticist, you will apply your expertise in pharmacy and informatics to solve complex healthcare challenges. You will contribute to ingesting, modeling, and curating multi-sourced healthcare data. This role is crucial as Verily advances personalized chronic condition management and develops registries to accelerate real world evidence generation.
Responsibilities:- Transform pharmacy-specific healthcare data (e.g., dispensations, administrations, and prescriptions) into FHIR-compliant representations, ensuring resources like MedicationRequest, MedicationDispense, and MedicationAdministration adhere to internal profiles.
- Design and operationalize strategies to standardize medication data from disparate sources (EHRs, PBMs, HIEs, and Retail Pharmacy feeds) into a unified clinical record, leveraging SQL and Python.
- Apply and maintain expert-level mappings for pharmacy-related standards including RxNorm, NDCs, and CVX, alongside broader standards like ICD-10, SNOMED CT, and LOINC.
- Create clear, concise data design requirements that bridge the gap between clinical pharmacists, data engineering teams, and external stakeholders.
- Implement data quality rules and processes to ensure data accuracy.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Clinical Informatics training.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Pharmacy/Clinical Informaticist.
- Expertise in standard data models and frameworks (e.g., FHIR, OMOP) and healthcare interoperability standards (such as HL7, NCPDP, and CCD-A).
- Demonstrated proficiency in healthcare knowledge standards and controlled terminologies (including SNOMED, LOINC, and RxNorm).
- Strong skills related to SQL, Python, R, dbt, ETL tooling and Jupyter Notebook.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and using version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development tools.
- Advanced degree in Clinical Informatics.
- Previous experience developing informatics solutions to support precision care or clinical research.
- Knowledge of clinical practice and research, and understanding of operating procedures and workflows within a hospital or ambulatory setting.
- General knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) components and techniques.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000 - $154,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
