Seeking two Quality Inspectors to be based on-site supporting an independent product inspection program, on-site at a customer program in Wolverhampton. The desired candidates will have previous experience in working in an Aerospace inspection role, undertaking inspection activity in line with engineering drawings, customer purchase order requirements, industry standards and specifications. Candidates will have a diligent approach to inspection, looking for known and unknown defects.
Minimum 3 years quality inspection experience within an aerospace environment.
Experience within the manufacturing environment, performing goods receipt and/or final inspection - gears experience is highly desirable.
Strong experience with product quality & supporting paperwork checks (CofC, manufacturing paperwork et cetera) in accordance AS9100 and with business processes.
Experience in using all types of measuring equipment.
Time served apprenticeship and/or ONC/HNC level or equivalent desirable.
Familiar with general inspection techniques and their appropriate selection.
Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings including dimensioning and tolerance.
Familiar with general non-conformance processes.
Ability to interact with customer personnel.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
Good team worker and confident in their ability to lead in aspects of problem solving.
Initial duration is 2-month, but based on the success of the process, will likely to extend up to and perhaps beyond, 3-months. This role falls inside IR35.
