We are looking for two experienced Quality Inspectors (with CMM Programming experience) to support a customer's final inspection team in South Somerset. The role will involve visual, manual, Faro and CMM inspection of manufactured components and assemblies. You will need strong mechanical inspection skills, the ability to work from engineering drawings and the confidence to both program and operate CMM equipment. The customer uses Aberlink CMM systems, although candidates with strong programming experience on other platforms, such as PC-DMIS, may also be considered, with Aberlink orientation being available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual inspection using micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges and other conventional metrology equipment against drawing and specification requirements
- Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, specifications and GD
