Auditor Areospace
Currently seeking an experienced Product / Process Auditor to perform supplier product audits on our behalf in support of a customer's global audit program.
Audits are foreseen to be 3-day audits, plus preparation, reporting and necessary corrective action follow-up time.
These audits are product and manufacturing-process focused, assessing the controls that directly affect product conformity. They are not intended to constitute general ISO 9001 or Quality Management System certification audits
Auditor Aerospace Responsibilities
- Auditor must prepare and perform Supplier Product / Process Audits against approved audit criteria, product requirements, drawings, specifications and applicable manufacturing documentation.
- Trace selected products through relevant manufacturing and inspection stages to assess the effectiveness of controls affecting product conformity.
- Review product-specific manufacturing and quality records, including inspection and test results, Certificates of Conformity, material certification, control plans, work instructions, non-conformance records and traceability documentation.
- Assess relevant manufacturing processes and controls, including materials and components, production controls, inspection and test, calibration, traceability, preservation and packaging.
- Review the suitability of manufacturing equipment, tooling, test equipment, personnel competence and process capability where these directly affect the audited product.
- Identify product and process non-conformities, observations, risks and areas for improvement, supported by clear objective evidence.
- Prepare and issue detailed audit reports in line with defined standards and established checklists
- Raise and manage CARs (Corrective Action Requests), including review of supplier corrective actions and necessary follow-up.
Auditor Aerospace Requirements
- Auditor must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working within a quality-critical manufacturing industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience conducting supplier product, manufacturing process or product conformity audits.
- Ideally holds formal auditor training or relevant professional certification (e.g. ASQ, CQI/IRCA or equivalent).
- Strong working knowledge of product audit methods, manufacturing process controls, inspection planning and product conformity requirements.
- Experience auditing product realisation and manufacturing controls within relevant manufacturing environments.
- Experience within plastic moulding, electronic assembly and/or mechanical hardware manufacturing is highly desirable, as applicable to the supplier/product being audited.
- Strong ability to identify product and process risks and document clear, objective audit evidence.
- Good understanding of non-conformance management, root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up.
- Detail orientated with strong analytical skills.
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with supplier personnel at all levels.
- Able to prepare clear, accurate and professional audit reports.
