nspection of Aerospace forgings for the main OEM’s
Line-side predominantly visual inspection of Forgings requiring some manual dimensional assessment using all common manual measurement equipment.
Job Description:
- Customer is seeking skilled individuals to support the visual and dimensional measurement of Forgings’ efforts at their facility.
- Daily line-side inspection of Forgings. The resource will be checking for conformity to customer specifications, acting as a quality gate.
- Further orientation will be performed onsite.
Duration:
- 3 to 6 months
Frequency:
- 38.5hrs Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday 07:30 to 12:30, although there can be additional hours and also flexibility.
Skill Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience using dimensional inspection equipment
- Hands on experience with GD&T per ANSI Y 14.5
- Must be able to interpret blueprints and drawings
- Familiarity with Quality and Manufacturing processes
- Preferably an inspection background in receiving, in-process inspection knowledge of FAI reports
- Boeing, Airbus, Spirit, Collins, Meggitt, Rolls-Royce and some Defence Platforms.
- Must be UK Citizen
