We are looking for a Tooling Manufacturing Engineer for our client, who is a leading aerospace engineering organisation supporting both OEM and aftermarket operations.

The business specialises in the manufacture, maintenance, repair and overhaul of highly engineered aerospace components and systems, serving customers worldwide.

Tooling Manufacturing Engineer

Requirements

  • Tooling manufacturing engineer must have experience with 3D modelling, preferably Siemens NX.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Tooling Manufacting Engineer must have experience using 3D printers.
  • Industrialisation experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of technical documentation such as Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and Process Plans.
  • Experience within Assembly & Test, tooling, manufacturing, or machine shop environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assess current tool control processes across Assembly & Test and Machine Shop environments.
  • Conduct gap analysis and implement actions to achieve the required standard.
  • Design and model tooling inserts using 3D CAD software (preferably NX) and support 3D printing activities.
  • Procure, catalogue, serialise, and manage tooling assets within the Tool Management System.
  • Audit operations for tool control compliance and report progress against project plans.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the aftermarket value stream
