The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
In response to a number of escapes, the customer wishes to implement an independent inspection, with the following being required:
- Visually inspect castings at the customer facility, focusing on specific set of part numbers as provided by the customer.
- Inspect each part based upon a defined set of characteristics.
- Document all inspection activity via a Customer-provided Inspection Record.
- Document any non-conformities and raise them to an appropriate customer point of contact.
- Provide bi-weekly detailed report on inspection findings.
Required skills and experience:
- Minimum of 3-years previous experience within an aerospace / defence manufacturing environment, specifically within inspection-based roles.
- Hands-on visual inspection experience, including the use of magnifiers and other inspection aids.
- Experience of castings is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency with mechanical inspection equipment (should dimensional verification be required).
- Knowledge of containment processes and procedures.
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet business needs.
The role is inside IR35.
