*** Quality (Final) Inspection Lead ***
Job Description: Seeking a Lead Quality Inspector to be based on-site supporting a customer program in Nottingham. Working within a Final Inspection department of a machine shop, the desired candidate will have previous experience in working in an Aerospace Inspection role, leading a team, as well as hands on experience performing inspection to engineering drawings, customer purchase order, industry standards and specifications.
The support will include:
- Overseeing the inspection team, providing support to newer team members
- Overseeing the inspection schedule, throughput and prioritisation process
- First Article Inspection Report Preparation
- First-off Inspection
- Visual, documentation and packaging checks
- Part serialisation checks
- Dimensional inspection
- CMM Inspection
- Suggest and support department improvement initiatives
Experience requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 5-years previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment, preferably within a busy machine shop
- Strong hands-on inspection experience, using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers, as well as CMM
- Experience in preparing, reviewing and approving FAIs to AS9102
- Open and supportive nature, with the ability to maximise a teams potential
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise workload, and meet stringent deadlines.
- Based in a commutable distance of Nottingham
