Aerospace / Defence Source Inspector

Verify are currently seeking an experienced Source Inspector based in or around Belfast, to support a short-term project for approximately 2-3 days per week / 12 days per month, for the next 3 months. The activity will involve both visual and documentation inspection, assuring product quality prior to its release to our customer. Full details as follows:

  • Visual inspection of finished and in-process product
  • Inspection of coated nylon assemblies, including bonding areas, seams, attachments and cord locations
  • Verification of known quality concerns, including dry stick/bonding issues and incorrect cord positioning
  • Dimensional and physical inspection checks, where applicable
  • Review of manufacturing and release documentation, including Form 1s, Certificates of Conformity, routers and inspection records
  • Identification, documentation and escalation of product or documentation non-conformances
  • Preparation of an inspection record following each inspection
  • Preparation of non-conformance reports, as required

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant aerospace, defence or quality-critical industry experience
  • Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing or supplier quality environment
  • Experience performing product inspection activity
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and inspection criteria
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and release documentation, including Form 1s and Certificates of Conformity
  • Experience identifying and reporting product and documentation non-conformances
  • Experience with textile, coated fabric, bonded, sewn or flexible material assemblies would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills

This role is outside IR35.
