Responsibilities
- Guide and coach assigned Scrum Team(s) and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver quality software that aligns with customer needs.
- Schedule and facilitate all Scrum team events for assigned teams, ensuring they are appropriately time‑boxed and the discussion is kept on topic.
- Assess the Scrum maturity of the assigned team(s) and organisation, coaching the team(s) to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace.
- Support the assigned Scrum Team(s) by using a servant leadership style and leading by example.
- Personify Scrum and Agile.
- Guide and coach assigned Scrum Team(s) on self‑organisation to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Remove impediments that cannot be resolved within the assigned team(s) by identifying appropriate personnel within the organisation and actively working with them.
- Support and coach the Product Owner(s) for assigned Scrum team(s), especially with respect to product backlog refinement and management.
- Manage the assigned Scrum team(s) board & team space in our organisation’s Agile/Scrum project management software (JIRA & Confluence).
- Track and compile metrics and reports providing transparency to the team, department, and organisation, facilitating the process of inspection and adaptation.
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, conflict resolution and getting the work done.
Qualifications
- Education level – Bachelor's degree (B.A) preferable.
- Years of experience – 1–2 years in an Agile/Scrum environment preferable.
- Must be comfortable with the following software: Jira (JQL, metrics, etc.), Confluence, MS Excel, proficient personal computer skills including e‑mail, record keeping, word processing, spreadsheets, slides, etc., Experience with MS‑Teams/Outlook Calendar.
- Certificates & Licenses – CSM or PSM I.
- Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees within the organisation.
- Understanding of statistical measures such as mean, median, mode, percentiles, range, variance, and standard deviation.
- Strong soft skills (communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, etc.).
