The Dynamics Developer role is responsible for developing, configuring and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions across the organisation. Working closely with senior developers and architects, the role will contribute to the delivery of high-quality business solutions while developing technical expertise across Dynamics 365, Power Platform and related Microsoft technologies.
What that means day to day
Configure and customise Dynamics 365 using Power Platform technologies including Dataverse, Power Automate and Power Apps
Support the development and maintenance of integrations with Azure services and third-party systems.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing and deployment.
Assist with troubleshooting, investigation and resolution of application issues.
Work with business stakeholders and senior team members to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Produce and maintain technical documentation.
Support testing and quality assurance activities to ensure reliable and maintainable solutions.
Collaborate with developers, architects and business teams to deliver enhancements and improvements.
Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge of Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure and AI related technologies.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation and user experience through platform capabilities.
Support the adoption of AI-enabled features within Dynamics 365 and Power Platform where appropriate.
What you’ll need to be successful
Experience developing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM) solutions.
Knowledge of .NET, C# and JavaScript development.
Experience creating or modifying Dynamics 365 customisations, plugins and workflows.
Understanding of REST APIs and system integrations.
Experience with Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
Understanding of relational databases and data modelling concepts.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a development team.
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn from others.
Enthusiasm for Microsoft technologies and continuous professional development.
Desirable:
Experience with Azure services such as Functions, Service Bus or Logic Apps.
Experience with Power BI.
Experience integrating third-party solutions.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Understanding of DevOps/ Github, source control and CI/CD practices.
Awareness of AI-enabled capabilities within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.
