If you’re looking for a role where your expertise matters, your ideas are valued, and every day presents new challenges, SafeWorkforce is the place to grow your career and make a difference.
As a Business Development Team Leader, you’ll take the lead in building, coaching, and inspiring a high-performing team of phone-based new business sales executives. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on momentum, enjoys coaching others to success, and is passionate about turning potential into performance.
What that means day to day:

- Conduct tests to boost conversion rates and implement actionable insights
- Monitor sales, analyse key metrics like conversion by person/channel and deliver regular performance reports to the SafeWorkforce Managing Director
- Provide training, call auditing and coaching support to improve sales performance and seek the support of the L&S team where specific training needs are required
- Ensure adherence to our prospect contact strategy and associated CRM processes
What you’ll need to be successful:
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring proven leadership experience, ideally within a phone-based new business sales environment, along with a strong understanding of sales processes and what drives high performance. You’ll be confident setting and managing targets and KPIs, while using effective coaching techniques to improve both individual and team results. You’ll know how to balance performance management with development, delivering regular 1:1s, clear feedback, and hands-on coaching in key areas such as negotiation and objection handling. Above all, you’ll be someone who creates structure, accountability, and momentum within a team, helping people develop their skills, confidence, and consistency to deliver against ambitious goals.
