About Verifi
Verifi is the global leader in in-transit concrete intelligence. Our IoT platform is deployed on thousands of trucks across multiple countries, processing over a billion data points from 250 million+ cubic yards of concrete. We don’t just monitor concrete. We give producers, contractors, and the entire value chain real-time control over the most widely used building material on earth. We are evolving into an open intelligence platform for the concrete industry, turning the world’s largest concrete rheology dataset into actionable insight at every stage of delivery. We’re scaling worldwide, backed by serious ambition and a tight, high-calibre team. This is construction technology at the intersection of IoT, data science, and industrial operations. If you want to design products that shape how physical infrastructure gets built, not just how software looks, read on.
Role Overview
The Senior Product Designer, Systems & Interaction at Verifi will play a critical role in shaping the end-to-end user experience across our product suite, with a strong focus on design systems, interaction design, and high-quality visual execution. This role is responsible for both owning product design from concept through delivery and evolving our existing design system into a scalable, production-ready foundation. You will build upon an existing foundation, strengthening its structure, defining patterns and standards, and driving adoption across design and engineering. As design systems expertise is still maturing across the team, you will play a key role in shaping Verifi’s approach to front-end development, partnering closely with engineering to establish best practices, improve design-to-code alignment, and unlock faster, more consistent product delivery.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, you will translate complex operational and data-heavy workflows into clear, intuitive experiences. You will partner deeply with engineering to ensure design and implementation are tightly aligned, enabling reusable components, reducing rework, and accelerating development. This role is a hands-on force multiplier, responsible for improving product quality and team velocity by advancing our design system, interaction patterns, and overall product execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver end-to-end product design across core workflows, from concept through production, balancing usability, speed, and scalability.
- Lead interaction design across the product, defining states, behaviours, and edge cases to create clear, predictable, and high-quality user experiences.
- Translate product requirements and ambiguous problem spaces into structured flows, prototypes, and scalable design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to deliver feasible, well-scoped, and well-executed solutions.
- Use customer insights, product data, and feedback to iterate and improve experiences, focusing on measurable impact.
- Produce high-quality, production-ready UI with strong attention to hierarchy, spacing, typography, and visual consistency.
- Define and standardise design tokens, component architecture, and interaction patterns to support complex, data-heavy workflows for mission-critical environments.
- Evolve and scale the Verifi Design System, building on an existing foundation to improve structure, consistency, and reusability across the platform.
- Drive design system adoption and governance, partnering closely with engineering to establish shared standards, improve design to code alignment, and reduce duplication and rework, including defining how the system is implemented in code.
- Define and establish design system documentation and tooling, including component documentation, usage guidelines, and partnership with engineering on tools such as Storybook (or equivalent), ensuring a single source of truth between design and code.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product design, with experience operating at a senior level and owning end-to-end product delivery.
- Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a high bar for craft, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing B2B SaaS applications, including ownership of complex features from concept through production.
- Experience designing for complex, data-rich workflows, with the ability to simplify and structure dense information into clear, usable interfaces.
- Proven experience contributing to or evolving a design system, including components, patterns, and interaction standards, in close partnership with engineering.
- Expertise in Figma or similar design and prototyping tools, with the ability to create both system-level components and high-fidelity product designs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Product and Engineering to align on problems, tradeoffs, and execution.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments, translating loosely defined problems into structured, shippable solutions.
- Familiarity with designing for AI-powered features is a plus.
- Prior experience in construction, infrastructure, industrials, or energy-related businesses is preferred.
