As a Social Market Research Interviewer, you will be interviewing members of the public, mostly in their homes. You will be provided a device to ask for their opinions on a wide range of subjects and record their responses. We work on behalf of all kinds of different clients, from government bodies to public sector organisations. The results of your data gathering will support improving public services, shape governmental and corporate policies, and influence public policy across the UK. We regularly recruit throughout the UK, if you are over 18, personable and confident when meeting new people, have a vehicle and a valid UK driving licence, and want to earn money whilst impacting public policy – then this is the role for you! £15.12
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly rate: £13.50 plus £1.62 holiday pay (outside London)
- £500 joiner bonus

Responsibilities
- Interview members of the public in their homes using a handheld device, recording responses
- Build rapport and encourage participation in each interview
- Knock on doors to secure participation, using pre‑appointment letters and flexible scheduling
- Travel up to 30 miles (or more) to reach participants; mileage always paid
- Complete each interview successfully and submit results promptly
- Work as part of a regional team, coordinating with colleagues across geographic areas
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of all interviews
Qualifications & Requirements
- Over 18 and have a valid UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
- Willingness to travel up to 30 miles
- Completed DBS, identity, employment and right‑to‑work checks
- Electronic device literacy (handheld device use)
Desirable
- Experience in sales is advantageous
- Outgoing personality with confidence talking to new people and building rapport quickly
- Ability to work flexible hours (16–20 hrs per week, afternoons, evenings, weekends)
Training & Support
- Comprehensive fully‑paid induction training, conducted in person on the first day in the field‑and continue support throughout employment
