The Verian Group Finance HQ team is a central, high‐performing, and collaborative function that plays a critical role in supporting the Group's strategic and operational objectives. Based at the heart of the organisation, the team brings together deep technical expertise, strong business partnering capability, and a shared commitment to high standards of financial governance and insight.

About the Role

We are looking for a Group Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager to play a key role in shaping the global finance function. You'll help deliver annual audit requirements, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, support complex international entities and work closely with the Group Financial Controller to grow the function capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • End to end management and main point of contact of the group audit and subsidiary audits
  • Oversight and preparation of consolidated statutory accounts for the Group, including ownership of Group consolidation incorporating c. 20 entities
  • Experience with third-party CoSec service providers, for statutory and finance-related duties, working closely with the internal legal team
  • Manage the preparation and sign-off of statutory accounts for overseas subsidiaries, working with the relevant members (including review of local GAAP adjustments)
  • Provide accurate, meaningful guidance to the Group on all complex accounting issues, including preparation of technical accounting papers for Audit Risk & Committee and the Group Auditors
  • Ownership and internal adherence of the Group accounting manual
  • Management of the month-end and year-end processes of Group stack cost and treasury entity
  • Review and challenge balance sheet account reconciliations, income statements and financial results
  • Research compliance with IFRS and prepare technical memos that document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner and ensure senior finance management understand the impact of any changes on the business
  • Oversight of the Group's equity movement, including shareholding updates and management, and provide required schedules to relevant stakeholders
  • Assist the internal tax team for completion of CIT filings

Qualifications:

  • Fully Qualified (ACA/ ACCA / ICAEW)
  • Experience working for a complex Group
  • IFRS and consolidation experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience of working with external auditors
  • International group experience
