Vergo Pest Management Ltd is currently seeking a Specialist Proofing Technician to work in the Glasgow Area. Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for individuals with experience in General Maintenance, Grounds Work, Construction, Shop Fitting, or Handyman roles. The primary responsibility is to implement protective measures within assigned sites. The annual salary ranges from £28,105.08 to £32,000, depending on experience.

As a key member of the Specialist Proofing Team, you will undertake projects at commercial, residential, and government sites across the UK. The role involves traveling to various sites to perform or assist with specialist proofing, vegetation control, hygiene treatments, and wildlife management. Night work may be required.

Responsibilities:
  • Rodent proofing work
  • Proofing installation for avian management (wires, spikes, netting)
  • Wildlife management through culling
  • Weed control using herbicides and mechanical methods
  • Hygiene treatments, including removal of waste
  • Transport and disposal of hazardous waste, ensuring environmental safety
  • Complete job contracts professionally, within specifications and budget
  • Attend training sessions and complete online modular training as required
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Ensure safe working environments and high hygiene standards
  • Perform any other duties as required by the business
Requirements:
  • Full UK Clean Drivers Licence
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Live within a 30-mile radius of the advertised area
  • Ability to work independently and effectively
  • Methodical and systematic work approach
  • Excellent attention to detail
