Overview
Vergo Pest Management Ltd is the largest independent national pest service provider in the UK today. We have a fantastic opportunity for a customer facing Pest Control Technician to join our team, working in the Pontypridd/ Merthyr Tydfil area. Whether you are experienced in the industry, looking for a change or to start your career, we want to hear from you.
Our comprehensive range of pest management services includes rodent control, bird management, insect control and wildlife management. You’ll be at the sharp end of our service for commercial, residential and government properties where you will visit customers across your area to inspect and treat pests and promote additional work if the opportunity arises.
Our salary package is up to £29,500.00 based on qualifications and experience. All technicians have the opportunity to increase take-home pay by up to £6K through commission, bonuses and incentives. Trainees start at £26,740.00, rising to £28,000.00 when qualified.
Responsibilities
- Visit commercial, residential and government properties within the advertised area to carry out inspections and pest control treatments.
- Promote additional work where opportunities arise.
- Work as part of a field team to deliver high-quality pest management services.
- Provide excellent customer service and professional communication with clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full UK Drivers Licence
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Live within a 40 mile radius of the area advertised
- Ability to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision
- Methodical and systematic approach to work
- Comfortable using mobile phone apps
- Excellent attention to detail
