Vergo is a national business with staff geographically spread across the UK and Northern Ireland. Our comprehensive range of pest management services includes rodent control, bird management, insect control, and wildlife management.
We are looking for an Escalation Manager to join our growing team, working in and around the Thames Valley area, including locations such as Slough and Windsor. This role is key to reducing ongoing pest issues and driving a quality pest control service across each of our regions. With in-depth technical knowledge in pest control, you must hold a BPCA Certificated Advanced Technician in Pest Management or an equivalent qualification.
You will be responsible for making contractual QA inspections, promoting additional work where opportunities arise, and resolving long-standing pest problems to reduce free-of-charge visits. You will take ownership of sites that have reached escalation, producing comprehensive reports to assess the quality of work and creating escalation programmes to ensure properties are pest-free and effectively proofed against future ingress. When service quality issues are identified, you will escalate these to the relevant Operations Director to ensure corrective actions are implemented, meeting our customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot problematic customer sites, identify root causes of pest ingress, and develop escalation programmes.
- Provide detailed reports on escalation works undertaken and completed.
- Manage all aspects of escalation programmes, including coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and on-site client staff.
- Support and advise operational managers on running escalation programmes.
- Monitor and evaluate technician work quality.
- Conduct QA visits according to Vergo's specifications.
- Provide feedback on quality issues to technicians and managers.
- Perform other duties as required by the business.
Qualifications:
- Full valid driving licence
- Higher-level industry qualification (BPCA Certificated Advanced Technician / RSPH Level 3 in Pest Management)
- Certified Field Biologist or equivalent is desirable
- Understanding of ISO-9001, ISO-14001, OHSAS-18001 standards
