Job Title
Area Support Technician – West Midlands
Vergo Pest Management Ltd are growing their team in the West Midlands area and are looking for an Area Support Technician to join us. This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced pest control technician, as a first step towards a management role in Vergo Pest Management Ltd. Experience and qualifications in the Pest Control field is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Undertake general service work for the eradication and treatment of pests.
- Record all visits to customers via our smartphone app.
- Overseeing Training of new starters and existing technicians within the region.
- Provide Technical Support on a day-to-day basis as well as supporting front line training for technicians.
- Provide support to the business in front line customer engagement.
- Maximise sales opportunities via self-sold and lead submission.
- Help with the planning and implementation of the mobilisation of new large contracts.
- Support the Area Manager in maximising productivity across the region.
- Any other “ad hoc” duties as required by the needs of the business.
Essential criteria
- Full UK Drivers Licence
- BPCA Accredited Technician in Pest Control
- RSPH Level 2 Award
- Proven experience within Pest Control, ideally more than 2 years
- Good communication skills written and verbal
- The ability to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision
- To be methodical and systematic in your approach to work
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Experience of carrying out all elements of rodent proofing work
Preferred Criteria
- Previous supervisory/management experience is desirable but not essential
