Our client is seeking a Senior / Intermediate Building Services Engineer with over 7 years of experience. The role involves detailed construction-level P&ID designs for large-scale heat pump-focused energy centres, district networks, and sub-plantroom changeovers. The projects primarily include Low Carbon Energy Centres, such as Heat Pumps, CHP plant, boilers, ASHP, packaged plantrooms, district networks, and sub-plantroom changeovers. Responsibilities encompass design, controls, flushing, testing, and commissioning, with project sizes ranging from 200kW to 40MW.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support internal teams with design and technical queries.
- Understand design briefs and carry out P&ID design and checks.
- Prepare BOM and Equipment Schedules from P&ID.
- Develop concept designs to full detailed construction level (RIBA stage 6).
- Liaise with other departments (e.g., Sales, Engineering, Fabrication).
- Conduct site surveys with the Senior Team to capture existing system details.
- Maintain a high awareness of current safety legislation and ensure compliance.
- Demonstrate proven detailed design experience in the renewables sector.
- Track record of successfully delivering designs.
- Manage multiple projects at different phases simultaneously.
- Oversee all technical aspects of projects.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines and be self-motivated.
- Willing to commute daily to Coventry head office.
- Show willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

- Aware of M&E RIBA Stage 3-6 processes.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit.
