Tax Senior Location: Liverpool Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 DOE We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join an established and growing accountancy practice in Liverpool. The role would suit a tax professional with at least 2-3 years' experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive tax team. The successful candidate will ideally have experience across both Personal Tax and Corporation Tax and will work alongside an existing Tax Manager and Junior Tax professional. This is a full-time opportunity, although candidates seeking flexibility may also be considered. Key Responsibilities · Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients · Prepare personal tax returns and corporation tax returns · Deal with a range of tax compliance matters for individuals, companies and owner-managed businesses · Prepare tax computations accurately and within relevant deadlines · Liaise directly with clients and respond to day-to-day tax queries · Work closely with the Tax Manager on more complex tax matters · Support and provide guidance to junior members of the tax team where appropriate · Maintain strong and professional client relationships · Keep up to date with relevant UK tax legislation and HMRC requirements · Identify opportunities for tax planning and advisory work where appropriate · Assist with ad hoc tax projects and wider practice requirements Skills, Knowledge and Expertise · Minimum 2-3 years' experience within a tax or accountancy practice · Experience in both Personal Tax and Corporation Tax is preferred · Strong understanding of UK tax compliance · Experience preparing personal and corporate tax returns · Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and competing deadlines · Strong attention to detail and accuracy · Good written and verbal communication skills · Confident dealing directly with clients · Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team · A proactive approach and willingness to develop professionally · No specific professional tax qualification is required Career Development This is an excellent opportunity for a Tax professional looking to develop their career within an established practice.
