We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Technician to join a well-established, growing precision engineering manufacturer operating within highly regulated, safety-critical sectors.
The Role
As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring materials, processes, and products meet strict quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Resolving material certification issues with suppliers, stockists, and test houses
- Liaising with Engineering and Quality teams on certification queries
- Supporting and advising suppliers on material specifications and standards
- Conducting witness testing to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements
- Carrying out internal audits (QMS, product, and process)
- Supporting investigation and analysis of returned products (e.g. CARs, 8D reports)
- Assisting with supplier performance reviews, audits, and corrective actions
- Creating and maintaining quality documentation (procedures, work instructions, alerts)
- Investigating product/process failures and carrying out root cause analysis (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys)
Requirements
- Experience within a quality role in manufacturing or engineering
- Knowledge of quality testing methods and standards
- Ability to interpret engineering material specifications
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or API standards
- Experience with quality methodologies (e.g. 8D, root cause analysis)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
