An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Sales Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This role would suit someone with a technical engineering background who enjoys customer interaction, solution selling and developing long-term client relationships. Working as part of a busy commercial team, you will support customers from initial enquiry through to quotation, order processing and account development.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing customer enquiries and preparing quotations
  • Providing technical and commercial support
  • Processing customer orders and maintaining CRM records
  • Developing existing customer accounts and identifying new opportunities
  • Working closely with external sales teams to maximise business opportunities
  • Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring commercial objectives are achieved
  • Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • Previous experience within Internal Sales, Technical Sales or Sales Engineering
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and customer-focused approach
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to understand technical engineering products and specifications

Desirable:

  • Engineering manufacturing environment experience
  • Valves, flow control or process industry exposure
