Accounts Semi Senior
Location: Newton-le-Willows
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 DOE
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Semi Senior to join an established accountancy practice in Newton-le-Willows.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts professional with 2-3 years' experience gained within an accountancy practice who is looking to continue developing their technical skills and progress their career within practice.
The successful candidate will ideally be part-qualified ACA or ACCA and will have strong experience in accounts preparation. Previous audit experience would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies
- Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships
- Ensure accounts are prepared accurately and in accordance with relevant accounting standards
- Assist with tax compliance work where required
- Liaise with clients regarding accounts preparation and routine accounting queries
- Work closely with senior members of the team to ensure client deadlines are met
- Manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively
- Assist with audit assignments where required
- Contribute to the wider accounts team and support the delivery of a high-quality service to clients
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2-3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified
- Strong experience in preparing company, sole trader and partnership accounts
- Previous audit experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Good technical accounting knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach with a genuine desire to develop within practice
