Role Overview The Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will provide clients with accurate, professional, and efficient asbestos survey and analytical services.
Responsibilities include
- Conducting asbestos inspections, surveys, sampling, and analysis in line with statutory and company requirements.
- Producing clear, factual survey reports, site plans, technical documents, specifications, method statements, and other relevant documentation.
- Managing abatement schemes in accordance with legislative guidance, contractual obligations, and internal safety procedures (RAMs, LARC, Po W).
- Maintaining compliance with UKAS-accredited quality management systems and quality assurance procedures.
- Representing the company professionally on-site, during client meetings, and in the office.
- Working safely, considering the impact of activities on all stakeholders.
- Undertaking additional duties as required by management.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess
- Sound knowledge of current asbestos industry practices and developments.
- Understanding of compliant inspection, surveying, and analytical methods.
- Awareness of relevant legislation and guidance for asbestos surveying and analysis.
- Experience working across a range of sites and sectors.
- Mandatory qualifications: BOHS P402, P403, P404 (or RSPH equivalent).
- Desirable qualifications: BOHS P406, W504 (S301), Co CA.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and be flexible and reliable.
- IT literacy, preferably with experience using PDAs or reporting software.
