A leading technical engineering contractor delivering nationwide retail installation and fit-out projects is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple contracts from conception to completion. This role would suit someone with a strong understanding of project delivery within the commercial or retail sectors.
Role Purpose
To plan, manage and deliver installation and fit-out projects safely, efficiently and profitably ensuring quality, client satisfaction, and compliance throughout all stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
- Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in line with client expectations.
- Manage pricing, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery.
- Carry out site inspections, risk assessments, and enforce health and safety compliance.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and documentation to maintain profitability.
- Ensure high quality and workmanship standards are met across all projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience managing installation or fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of project management processes and construction methodologies.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate and coordinate teams and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and health & safety standards.
- Willingness to travel to sites nationwide, including occasional overnight stays.

- Competent user of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- CAD experience advantageous.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
- Professional, organised, and proactive with a keen eye for detail.
- Engineering background (F-Gas qualification desirable).
Package
- Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience)
- £6,000 car allowance or company vehicle
- Optional home working
