Role purpose: Due to continued growth, our client is seeking Transport Planners across Assistant to Associate level to support transport planning inputs across a range of development-led projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans
  • Support or lead projects depending on experience level
  • Produce transport reports and modelling notes
  • Undertake trip generation and distribution analysis
  • Develop and review access designs and drawings
  • Carry out site visits to support early-stage development
  • Attend client and stakeholder meetings
  • Provide transport planning input to planning applications
  • Assist with fee proposals and project budgets
  • Support public consultation and stakeholder engagement

Skills and experience:

  • Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or similar
  • Experience in transport planning consultancy (varied levels considered)
  • Understanding of UK planning policy and transport guidance
  • TRICS, AutoCAD or transport modelling software experience desirable
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to manage workload and work within a team
