The Role
Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Bristol office. This is a key role within the civil engineering team, offering the opportunity to take a hands-on position in the design, coordination and delivery of residential-led infrastructure projects, alongside other development work. The role offers a broad mix of responsibilities, including civil design, drainage, highways/interface coordination and client liaison, with the chance to remain actively involved in design rather than moving into a purely managerial position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the civil engineering design of residential and mixed-use developments
- Preparation and review of designs for:
- Highways and access infrastructure
- Surface and foul water drainage
- Levels, earthworks and external works
About You
Essential:
- Strong experience in residential infrastructure design
- Background in a UK civil engineering design consultancy
- Minimum 6+ years' industry experience
- Confident client-facing skills with commercial awareness
- Solid experience with Section Agreements:
- Section 278 (highways)
- Section 38 (adoptable roads)
- Section 104 (drainage)
- Section 185 (water mains)
- Civil 3D
- InfoDrainage (or equivalent drainage tools)
