Fire and Security Engineer – Service and Maintenance
Location – Northern Ireland
Salary – up to £34K DOE
Overview:
You are a motivated and experienced engineer with extensive knowledge of the fire and security systems industry. As an Engineer on the Support Team, you will carry out routine maintenance and testing of fire and electronic security systems at client premises with troubleshooting and repairing of faults. You are the face of the company and have excellent communication skills, acting as an ambassador to position the company\’s reputation as a leading and respected employer.
Objective:
Routine maintenance and reactive repairs of security systems including: CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Fire & Electrical
Responsibilities:
– Maintaining Fire / CCTV/ Intruder and Access Control systems
– Always delivering high calibre customer service
– Assist with completion of necessary on-site documentation for customer files
– Provide effective emergency call-out cover for security systems (including out of hours rota)
– Cover wide geographic areas across NI
– Undertake continuous training to improve professional development
Sills required:
– Competent using technology such as laptops, measuring devices, smart phones etc
– Confident IT skills in the use of Microsoft office software such as Word and Excel as this is required for completion of reports, timesheets, asset registers etc.
– Good Customer service skills as you will be dealing with our high-end clients on a day to day basis
– Excellent troubleshooting skills
– Ability to work on own initiative
– Knowledge of relevant industry standards

ADDITIONAL:
Your normal days and hours of work are Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday until 4.00pm. You will be expected to keep your working hours flexible and additional hours of work may be required as business circumstances dictate.
You will be required to provide out of hours on-call support on a call-out rota system. These hours will be organised according to a rota which the Company will notify you on a monthly basis and any alterations as they happen on an ad hoc basis, i.e. for Holiday cover. When on-call you will be entitled to receive a standby allowance payment at a rate notified to you by the Company.
The Company will supply you with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniform at the Company\’s expense.
You will be provided with a mobile phone, laptop, and PDA to carry out your role and appropriate test equipment suitable for the role.
You will be provided with a company van or car plus fuel card therefore require a full UK licence.
NB: Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Police/Garda criminal check, financial credit check and be security screened to the PSA74:2019 & BS7858. Permanent offer of employment is subject to successful security clearance.
