Job Title: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: York and surrounding areas OR Manchester, Liverpool and surrounding areas

The Role:
Due to continued expansion, the business is seeking two experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineers to join its team – one covering York and the surrounding areas, and another covering Manchester, Liverpool and nearby regions. The successful candidates will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and repair of both Addressable and Conventional Fire Alarm Systems, while also attending call-outs and carrying out remedial work and occasional installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborating with the administration team to ensure efficient scheduling of work
Maintaining and servicing fire safety systems on a daily basis
Diagnosing and rectifying faults
Attending emergency call-outs as required
Undertaking repairs, remedial works, and occasional installations
Completing electronic worksheets accurately
Communicating effectively with the wider service team
The Candidate:
Applicants must have a minimum of two years\’ fire alarm servicing and fault-finding experience, ideally supported by relevant industry qualifications. Strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach are essential. Candidates must live within reasonable reach of the designated work area and hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
Essential Experience & Skills:
At least two years\’ experience in fire alarm system servicing and fault finding
Knowledge of BS5839-1:2025 and supporting qualifications
Full UK Driving Licence
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Desirable Experience & Skills:
Knowledge of fire alarm design, emergency lighting, and smoke vent systems
Fire extinguisher maintenance qualifications or experience
Familiarity with BS5266
