Remuneration: Basic likely to be in the £65,000 - £75,000 bracket plus bonus.

The Verder Group currently turns over in excess of €550 million and employs over 2500 people across 50+ sales offices and 20 manufacturing sites. The Verderflex site in Castleford is the Group’s design, development and manufacturing location for peristaltic pumps which are supplied worldwide via sales offices, distributors and agents. Product sales from the factory are approximately £12-13 million which equates to £30-40 million in commercial sales to end users.

The opportunity has now arisen for someone to join their Senior Leadership Team as Head of Commercial / Commercial Manager. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the position is responsible for the commercial performance and strategic direction of Verderflex. This includes:

  • Commercial strategy
  • Profitable sales growth
  • Pricing discipline
  • Customer retention with a particular focus on large or complex commercial opportunities

The role will lead a team of 8/9 people over 4 teams with 4 direct reports – Customer Services, Internal Sales Applications, Product Management and International Distribution.

Responsibilities can be broken down into 6 categories:

  • Commercial strategy and growth
  • Commercial performance
  • Leadership of internal commercial functions

Support experience of D365 is very much preferred. An adaptable people management style is required, along with the ability to work with key internal and external stakeholders, often on an international basis. Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Castleford, West Yorkshire and be able to travel internationally when required (infrequent).
